Nefes was formed in 1990 as a small group of musicians in Finland – all interested in Turkish music - wanted to jam together. Since, Nefes has become a sort of comprehensive school of Turkish music in Finland. The members of Nefes come from Turkey, New Zealand and Finland. On this album you’ll hear classical Turkish melodies, Turkish folk songs, sufi music as well as music of the Roma – which all belong to the repertoire of Nefes.
