Grupo Choramba Home Town


Trio's repertoire consists mainly of Brazilian choro, samba and bossanova music, but they also perform Argentinian milonga and Cuban traditional music. Improvisation is also essential part of trio's interpretation.

Musical genre choro was born in Brazil already in the 19th century and is important genre also in today's Brazilian music. It can be categorized as popular music, but it is also known as "Brazilian jazz", with it's rhythmical and winding themes. On the basis of choro, samba and bossanova were later born.

Technical Information

The ensemble's repertoire lasts about 2 x 45 minutes. The instruments are acoustical with built-in microphones. In smaller venues the ensemble can use their own amplifiers. In bigger venues PA system is needed, and it shoud be discussed beforehand.
