Tapani Rinne ja Teho Majamäki: Inside the Temple
Tapani Rinne and Teho Majamäki are both known for their long successful careers as well as their virtuoso playing. These two Finnish top musicians ended up making music together when Teho told Tapani of some incredible acoustic spaces he had experienced in his travels in India. Tapani got immediately excited and the two packed their recorging gear and headed off to ancient and sacred Indian temples and caves. Inside the Temple is an outcome of this unconvensional and eventful journey. The music of the Inside the Temple album is throughout calm, minimalistic and extremely beautiful with its unique sound.
Tapani Rinne is well known from various projects, perhaps best for his RinneRadio band. Percussionist Teho Majamäki is known for larger public especially from a popular Finnish Ismo Alanko Teholla ensemble.
“It is a completely unique experience to take of your shoes, step into a temple or a sacred cave, play and listen the acoustic of the space. You cannot reach that feeling in a studio using an echo machine”.
