ETNOSOI! 2010 PRESENTED CHARISMATIC MUSICIANS AND GOT LARGE MEDIA INTEREST
Global Music Centre celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2010. The 
jubilee year's festival Etnosoi! (9-23 November 2010) was a great success, bringing to the front especially charismatic men.
The festival was kicked off on Tuesday 9th November by Titi Robin Trio (FR) in the Savoy Theatre, 
where the Trio enchanted the audience by its engaging music. On Wednesday 10th November the Savoy Theatre was totally packed, when the artists of Acoustic Africa concert entered the stage. For the first time in Etnosoi!'s history, the concert was broadcasted live by the Finnish Broadcasting Company YLE - therefore the three world famous singer-songwriters Habib Koité, Oliver Mtukudzi and Afel Bocoum got even larger audience.Other charismatic Etnosoi! artists seen on venues around Helsinki were e.g. Ensemble Ferenc Sebö (HU), Les Triaboliques (UK) and Tajik Samo, a group that is also central in Global Music Centre's
cultural development cooperation project in Tajikistan. The Global Music Centre's jubilee year and Etnosoi! Festival 2010 were largely noticed in the Finnish press and electronic media.
