MUSIC STYLE:

Helsinki-based Banda Madrugada is one of the hottest party bands in Finland. Their music style is "humppa"/reggae/latin/groove, evolved around Brazilian forró. The band has invited Finns to dance since 2006. Hot rhythms, audience's enthusiasm and joy of playing follows the band wherever they go - from squats to packed clubs and summer festivals.

HISTORY:

The orchestra, formerly known as Miau and the Boys, was founded in 2006. The band has had many changes in line-up, but now the right line-up has been found and their forró sounds better than ever!

The band has taken influences in modern forró bands, such as Falamansa and Orquestra do Fubá, but also reggae and Brazilian pop. The band has had guest musicians on gigs, such as drummer Joonas Leppänen and trumpet player Kalevi Louhivuori.

The band has already toured a lot in Southern Finland. They have played in diverse events, such as Kallio Kukkii event, Turun etnoiltamat, Restaurant Kaisaniemi and Restaurant Bossa.
